Ripple pattern

Finally I took time to take picture of my newest project :) It is for my youngest child, who is a eight years old girl. I love this pattern and it's easy to crochet. I have had some trouble to find the right yarn to use but I think this is it....Kambgarn. It is Icelandic whool. It is also difficult to find the colors I wanted and those colors are the closest to what I wanted.

My newest project, afghan with a rippled pattern.

I have a few things I'm working on these days and soon I will take a photo of it to show you. For example I'm knitting a bag, crocheting a bag and my newest project will be afghan for my 8 year old daughter. I will use a ripple pattern. I found this great tutorial at Attic24. I love the colors she uses, so very much a life :) I choosed a yarn that is manufactured here in Iceland and is called Kambgarn.

Now I am getting ready for work all night and if I have some time to sit down I will start crocheting this afghan.

My new blog and my first attempt to hand dye yarn

Welcome to my new blog :)
I have been visiting many wonderful blogs lately and it made me want to start my own. I love to see what you talented ladies have been making.

It is so much fun to hand dye your own yarn! I like very much how the cotton yarn came out, it is very much a life and I cant wait to crochet something out of it. I used water, Wilton foodcolor, vinegar and salt in the pot to color the yarn. This made me more interessed in coloring yarn and I will definatly try out some more ways to color yarn.
